ABOUT THE FOUNDER
IESC was founded by Dr. Jong Yule Kim in April
of 1995 in New York in order to launch English programs in Korea.
Dr. Kim, a graduate of Seoul National University's School of
Education, has a Doctorate degree from Teachers College, Columbia
University in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. He has extensive teaching
and administrative experience both in Korea and in the U.S. He has
worked as Director of the Bilingual Program at Mercy College and as
Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College. He also served as the
president of Dong-Seo University in Pusan. He now resides in New York.
Dr. Kim would like to thank the following people for their advise
and support: Dr. Bryant Hicky, Director of ESL at Pace University:
Dr. Larry Crutz, Director of the Foreign Language Institute at Manhattanville
College; Prof. Shelley Alkins, Vice President at Mercy College; and
