IESC : WHY IESC

All of IESC's past projects (Teachers Service Corps) and current programs (Teacher Training Program) were devised and implemented by Dr. Jong Yule Kim with the funding of Korean local offices of Education. Dr. Kim, who majored in ESL and has had extensive teaching and administrative experiences both in Korea and in the US, is easily able to identify issues that may arise within such exchange programs in Korea and ameliorate problematic situations. At the same time Dr. Kim is aware of current developments in the US in the field of ESL. With these advantages, Dr. Kim can bridge the gap between the two countries and set up programs which can implement cutting edge teaching tools and methods, which will ultimately improve English language skills in Korea.
